MAINSIM – MultimodAl INnercity SIMulation
نویسندگان
چکیده
MAINSIM is a traffic simulation system for urban multimodal traffic. The simulation graph gets generated from cartographical material in an entirely automatic way. MAINSIM is capable of simulating the traffic of whole cities with cars, bicycles and pedestrians.

Fuel Consumption And Emission Modeling For Urban Scenarios
Traffic simulation systems are widely used for the prediction of certain effects like traffic jam formation or the analysis of performance for new traffic light systems. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are important measurements. This work integrates a physical model for fuel consumption into a microscopic traffic simulation system for urban scenarios. The parameters of the model are discuss...
متن کاملA review about multimodal traffic simulation techniques
One of the current challenges in urban planning concerns the urban transportation involving multi-mode transportation. One of the ways to evaluate different situations in order to make decisions of how, when and where to invest is using multimodal traffic simulation. This paper presents a review about multimodal traffic simulation, identifying the state of art and directions for future work. Ke...
متن کاملFuzzy particle swarm optimization with nearest-better neighborhood for multimodal optimization
In the last decades, many efforts have been made to solve multimodal optimization problems using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). To produce good results, these PSO algorithms need to specify some niching parameters to define the local neighborhood. In this paper, our motivation is to propose the novel neighborhood structures that remove undesirable niching parameters without sacrificing perf...
متن کاملDon't Go With the Ant Flow: Ant-Inspired Traffic Routing in Urban Environments
Traffic routing is a well established optimization problem in traffic management. We address here dynamic routing problems where the load of roads is taken into account dynamically, aiming at the optimization of required travel times. We investigate ant-based algorithms that can handle dynamic routing problems, but suffer from negative emergent effects like road congestions. We propose an inver...
متن کاملAchieving Multimodal Cohesion during Intercultural Conversations
How do English as a lingua franca (ELF) speakers achieve multimodal cohesion on the basis of their specific interests and cultural backgrounds? From a dialogic and collaborative view of communication, this study focuses on how verbal and nonverbal modes cohere together during intercultural conversations. The data include approximately 160-minute transcribed video recordings of ELF interactions ...
